Frolicking in Had Yao
I’m back from “Long Beach”!! Not quite paradise but close.
We stayed at a Beach-front Pool Villa for 3 nights at The Beach Boutique Resort. It was perfect; an unspoiled beach, lots of privacy, very quiet and peaceful.
We enjoyed the resort facilities to the fullest, but the highlight of the trip would have to be renting a Yamaha Fino and riding along Highway No. 4 all the way to Khlong Thom District. Where we visited the famous ‘Sra Morakot’ a natural pool at the center of the forest, filled with glistening clear spring water. And the natural hot springs.
The ride itself was exciting enough and to top it off we had our own natural “hot-tub jacuzzi” filled with running spring water. Ultimate relaxation!
We also did the 4 Islands Tour where they brought us to Chicken Island, Tup Island, Poda Island and Railay beach via longtail boat. J really liked Tup Island, the sand was incredibly soft and the waters were crystal clear. Too bad we weren’t there during low tide or we could have seen the two sand banks emerging from the waters. That would have been quite a sight.
Was a little sad that we couldn’t make it to Phi Phi Islands due to strong winds, but the four islands made up for it.
On the left of where we stayed is a fishing village where seafood is really cheap, we had a sumptuous 6 dish dinner for about 43 SGD. That’s a real good deal if you ask me.
In all the whole trip was amazing and I can’t wait to explore more of Asia. We need to explore our neighboring lands!
esp the nearest one.. soon! road trip in planning :)
